Every parent has this question when they first bring their child home. When do babies start crying tears, or when do babies get tears?

You see, babies are not born with fully developed tear ducts. In the few initial weeks, they cry without tears. They will slowly start to produce tears when their tear ducts open up. Parents may feel that their baby is crying for no reason or is crying just for attention. However, parents must realise that their little one is actually crying even if they can't see tears. Even after your baby's tear ducts are formed, there are many conditions that can cause inadequate production of tears. In this video, we will discuss the formation of tear ducts, when your baby will start crying tears and the various conditions that affect tear formation in babies.

It's not real crying. Babies only scream to get your attention, to let you know they need something. Real emotions kick in at about age 1 or 2.
