I use the secret weapon.... my well cycled and inhabited fish tank water. Everytime i give my 90gal bowfront a water change, i fill up 3 one gallon water jugs. Then those very jugs may even sit for many many months before theyre used. Also when i get minnows out the crick to do some fishing with, i bury any minnow casualties around the rootball of some of my big, hardy cacti. Talk about new pups and offsets!! My Stetsonia already has double arms, and it aint but 18" tall!! Al my trichs are surrounded by basal pups!!! I also keep the minnow water that was in the bucket, because theres nothing better than good ole crick water. You could even take some 1 gallon water bottles and fill em up at the crick for plant use. Just dont use the tap.

Rain needs lightning to release nitrogen from the air and make it available.
So does that mean without lightning rainwater has no fertilizers?
