"Behind the Buckler" sounds like steaming hot, action packed 18th century erotica.

Why do you stop the cut instead of following through? Isn't it better Martial training to continue the swing just like one should if they connected while striking at an opponent's body?

I would love to see some cutting practice done with buckler in hand to demonstrate how the buckler guarding interacts with proper cutting mechanics.

Im native and ive had this theory that if we were conquered by knights and trained fighters the natives would not have stood a chance at all. It wouldve been even more slaughter if we fought the armies of the earlier kings.

scratch out "of sword and buckler" and put in " of fighting in general". Doing things that get your hands removed or broken beyond use are not good ideas...

It's easy to forget in the club that the sword-shaped objects we are hitting each other with are actually supposed to simulate swords... and swords are a whole lot of iron moving fast due to leverage, with a sharp edge. You do not want to be hit with a sword in ANY WAY. Fingers do not grow back. I'll get off my soapbox now...
