Don't move here unless your combined family income is $125k or higher. Otherwise, you will struggle to live here. The area is great for entertainment, dining, airports, work opportunities and diversity of landscape, e.g., ocean, lake, mountains, and city within driving distance. Schools are excellent, but most of the high school kids have anxiety and/or depression from high stress and competition in Arlington County, Falls Church City and Fairfax county. Traffic is terrible at best. If you live in Woodbridge or areas more than 20 miles away from Washington, DC forget trying to commute in under 1 hour unless you leave at 5am or earlier. Property tax is very high in NOVA. I pay almost 11k for a 2000 square foot old cape cod home. Overall a great area with tons of things to do, but get the facts before moving here. It is uber competitive and stressful.

My neighbor uses the EZ pass and picks up slugs off of the 234 exit which makes it free and he's at the Pentagon stop in 20-25 minutes. I took the bus using the same route and it was 25 minutes. EZ pass is needed for commuters living in Potomac Shores.

Great video, thanks David. Our little one runs and does "boooom" whenever she hears the intro :D
one suggestion from us, it would be nice to add the name of the area, town, etc. when you show a drone footage, street drive by, etc. some places look really cool but for new people like us, that would help a lot to check where those nice footage is from.

Fauquier County here checking in! We're right at an hour from DC, and you can really tell because comparable housing is immediately cheaper further out, and immediately cheaper closer in.

With the widening of Rt-7 to 3 lanes finally complete, it is for now at least a much easier option to commute to either Tyson’s or to take a metro from West Falls Church Metro to take you into DC (with a very low $3/day parking garage fee) for anyone living in the Western areas

You need a 6 digit salary to live here. Otherwise you either live in Charles Town, WV or Winchester, VA. Conmute is crazy in the mornings.

This is a disguised real estate agent's commercial. 😢 U didn't provide the information that the title indicated. Felt like being cheated.

Stay away from Gainesville unless you can donate money to our awesome local parks in progress.
