05/01/2025 - Snow up north, rain to the south - Afternoon Weather Forecast UK – Met Office Weather

In the afternoon snow continues to fall over northern England and southern Scotland and an amber weather warning is in force for this. There will be heavy rain over Wales and parts of central England and a yellow warning for rain is in force here. Elsewhere is it cold and sunny in northern parts of Scotland and overcast but mostly dry with the odd spell of rain in southern England and Northern Ireland. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 05/01/2025. Thank you we had snow exactly as you had predicted. It’s a very changeable picture if rain will turn to snow so your weather warnings are very much appreciated 😊 better for people to be cautious than not in the wintertime

Plenty of snow here on the hills in Northumberland. Been out with the snow blower clearing the track - looks like I’ll have to give it another run this evening.
