Love seeing this game -- I found out the day this game was played, October 1, 1994, that I was accepted to the doctoral program in American history at the University of Alabama and that I was fully funded with a teaching assistantship to begin with the upcoming spring semester in January. So, I watched this game on TV that night from my family's home in Michigan never being prouder; I was so excited to get down to Tuscaloosa to UA. I love that university so much and am so grateful for all the doors it opened for me. Roll Tide Roll.

I was in the stadium that night. It was my freshman year at Bama. I attended high school with Michael Proctor. He graduated two years before me, but we were in the same algebra class at one point, and i gave him the answers on a test once (and was happy to do so). After he kicked that field goal, I was pelted in the head with a hotdog and was showered with bourbon and Coke. It was awesome. Later that night my roommate and I snuck into the Ivory Tusk on the strip and I tried Yeager Meister for the first time. At 2:30 in the morning I went to Subway and ate my first seafood and crab foot-long.That’s one night of my life which I vividly remember, even down to the most minuscule details. Good times. RTR.

I was in the end zone stands at this game. In three weeks, I'd be 14. My uncle had season tickets for most of the Stallings era home games. It was rare to play a game at Bryant-Denny under the lights back then. In this era, the biggest games were still played at Legion Field in Birmingham. This contest was probably Jay Barker's best as quarterback. He improved dramatically over the course of his career. By his senior year he was capable of winning games through the air, but early on Alabama had to rely heavily on the run and on a rock-solid defense.

I love how smaller Bryant-Denny Stadium was back then. It looked more "home-y" to me. It has really added on over the year. More fans, more capacity.

Bama’s been kicking Georgia in the teeth for a long time.

Michael Procter was one of the best kickers in Alabama History. He’s kinda forgotten but he had a lot of big kicks in Stallings era of winning.

I didnt watch my Tide for a few years after Stalings won the title, because my friends dad died and I got sidetracked by cocaine !!! The year my Dad died, Bamawon it all !!!! He died the morning of the Bama FSU game. Bama beat Georgia last year, and I know my dad would have been happy. I will tell him when hes Resurrected. (Acts 24 :15, .Psalms 37:29)
