Something people should ALSO keep in mind, is that depending on your art style, these things don’t have to be true in order for it to look good. My characters often have larger heads, but that’s because I draw very stylized, and smaller heads look very bizarre in my style.

Yes, dividing body proportion by heads is quite basic. Tho you should not restrict your proportion like 2 for torso blah3. It depends on age and body type of your character
