Kyoshi vs Toph Beifong (12 yr old)

Kyoshi is the Avatar, who when dies reincarnates into another bender. We saw Aang have an easy time with his bending training (aside from earth since its his opposite element). This means when the Avatar is relearning how to Elemental Bend its basically just a revision for them.

So that means Kyoshi has multiple life times of experience vs Toph who has only 7 years of Earthbending (it was stated that she ran from home when she was 5 and learned Earthbending. She was 12 during ATLA). Ya not the best comparison.

She could literally glassbend, as shown in the novels. Yes, kyoshi had a novel.

She could also step on little particles of dust just like platforms. Others saw her as if she was floating on air

bruh. Kyoshi deadass split an island off from a continent, and barely tapped into the avatar state. Her eyes glowed for a split second and bam, land go brr and become island, there is no universe where Toph is even losing while giving kyoshi much trouble. KYOSHI LITERALLY UNLOCKED THE SECRET TO IMMORTALITY.

Toph is tougher then nails don't get me wrong, but Kyoshi's the kind of person that would eat nails for breakfast, then climb a whole 1800ft volcano with one hand like it's nothing, and *THEN CHILL IN THE LAVA LIKE IT'S DAMN A HOT TUB!* Toph may be a savage beast, but Kyoshi's damn dragon.

I'm gonna do 2 versions of this, Kyoshi (Shadow of Kyoshi) vs. Toph (End of Series) and Kyoshi (SoK Including Show Feats) vs. Toph (Comics).

Obviously Kyoshi is Earth Only no AS

For those who haven't read the Kyoshi Novels - Kyoshi excels at the large scale and is still very skilled at small scale (with her fans) by the end. Kyoshi's fans improve her bending. Kyoshi can use a technique called dust-stepping, walking on the air with earthbending by stepping on small rocks as she walks basically. Kyoshi cannot lavabend in the novels. WE WILL BE ASSUMING KYOSHI'S FANS TO BE METAL.

Kyoshi will have her fans.

The point category will have 3 sections: Physical, Bending, and Intelligence.
Physical: Strength, Durability, Stamina, Speed, Agility
Bending: Scale, Range, Speed, Skill, Precision, Versatility, Attack Potency, Defensive Capability
Intelligence: IQ, BIQ, Expirience

Wins in a bending category give 2 points as they are more signifigant. There will be a section after each point thing with some added basic reasoning.

Round 1: SoK Kyoshi vs EoS Toph
PHYSICALS - 1 Point Each
Strength: Kyoshi - She is constantly praised for her raw physical strength also she is GIANT.
Durability: Kyoshi - Withstanding TONS of attacks like Yun shaking the ground, glass being stuck into her neck, etc. and be unfazed
Stamina: Kyoshi - No solid reasoning, but seems to keep moving/attacking for longer thsn Toph does, so she takes this
Speed: Kyoshi - Her just being bigger + she tends to travel more quickly the few times they are in foot so yea. Also if we include dust-stepping (it's bending but is only good for movement/evading seismic sense so eh) Kyoshi easily takes this. Also bigger = bigger steps.
Agility: Toph - Seismic sense heavily helps agility

BENDING - 2 Points Enchantments
Scale: Kyoshi - She was always signifigantly better at things like bending mountain tops and creating large cracks in the ground
Range: Kyoshi - Pulling 2 giant stone pillars from several miles under the ocean floor
Speed: Toph - She's able to bend earth faster, and to a MUCH faster flurry of attacks/repeating a skill.
Skill: Toph - Kyoshi's earthbending isn't bad, but Toph's seismic sense & badger mole training fsr outweigh Kyoshi's rushed earthbending training, even by the end of the book she's usually supporting other people to make their skillful attacks just bigger.
Precision: Toph - Kyoshi even with fans doesn't take this, plus she struggled with this a lot. Toph's precision is also heavily improved due to seismic sense (we see this a lot in the earth rumble tournament). Kyoshi was able to hold a wall and later entirely collapsing house in place from all sides but still don't think that feat is enough.
Versatility: Toph - SoK Kyoshi's Dust-Stepping vs Seismic Sense & Basic Metalbending. Toph's also more creative with her element, I'm including creativity with versatility.
Attack Potency: Toph - I feel with her precision & metalbending she barely beats Kyoshi here
Defensive Capability: Toph - Toph's fighting style is far more defensive & Kyoshi is an offensive fighter so yea.

INTELLIGENCE - 1 Point Each
IQ: Toph - She's just generally more logical so yea.
BIQ: Toph - Kyoshi's best battle intelligence feats are her manipulating Yun (which she was also a really close friend of. Toph also excels at this
Experience: Kyoshi - Kyoshi has 3x as much exprience, not counting Earth Rumble cuz the other Earth Rumble competitors are basically fodder.

Overall Score: Kyoshi 9 vs Toph 15

Basic Reasoning: Kyoshi's dust-stepping being so far above the ground only connected by thin strands of dust is such a huge advantage, though Toph has shown some ability to strike airborne targets, ultimately Toph is going to need to metalbend Kyoshi's fans away in the early fight, maybe the mid fight. Assuming her seismic sense still worked on Dust-Stepping, but it was just fuzzy (which is the most logical assumption as Jet-Stepping is the only one thst isn't somewhat connected the the ground, Dust-Stepping is just barely). Kyoshi wouldn't be able to gain to much of an advantage, and the gap in skill, still Toph also just outscales Kyoshi in everything but things regarding raw power.

Toph wins mid-high difficulty, 7/10 matches

Round 2: Kyoshi (SoK + Older Feats) vs. Toph (Comics)

Strength: Kyoshi
Durability: Kyoshi
Stamina: Kyoshi

BENDING - 2 Points Each
Scale: Kyoshi
Range: Kyoshi
Speed: Kyoshi - Her speed in cracking the peninsula with earth is about ad fast as Toph but it's more for the same speed
Skill: Equal - Trained Dai Li, which brings it from Toph to Equal
Precision: Toph - Kyoshi gets Dai Li feats as mentioned before, but Comic Toph has insane precision like paunching herself onto Appa by hearing a roar, very precise against airborne attacks and precise use of metal whip.
Versatility: Toph - Kyoshi has lava now, but Toph's metalbending is far more fluid and she invents the metal whip thst the police use later so this stays.
Attack Potency: Kyoshi - Lava.
Defensive Capability: Toph - Again, this is ehat Toph excels at + we don't see defensive feats post-novels chronologically.

INTELLIGENCE - 1 Point Each
IQ: Kyoshi - Older by about 100 years
BIQ: Toph - No feats for Kyoshi post-novels
Experience: Kyoshi - She's way older so

Overall Score: Kyoshi 15 to Toph 9

Basic Reasoning: Even though Kyoshi only gets a few more feats, the feats we do see are some of the most impressive in the series, combining thst with her age of like 100ish (and that basically being her prime) she easily wins. Even when Toph metalbends her fans away, she'll have dealt eith her not having her fans enough for that to not be a huge issue, that all with dust-stepping and yea Toph'e chances are slim.

Kyoshi wins low-mid difficulty, 8.5/10 matches

She does have almost 213 years to master the elements more than any master so I think that prime Kyoshi (I think that would be in 270 BG, when she defeats Chin) would destroy Toph în earthbending without the Avatar State or it would be a stalemate.

Y'all are saying kyoshi splited a whole island with "ease" no she was in the avatar state and im not saying toph wins im just correcting you.
