Hello I was able to get my brother inlaw back into his computer - thank you! But when I tried to delete the utility cmd in the second part it from the Admin CMD it say access denied. any suggestions?

Got all the way to administrators to the user name and its popping up a net user
[Username[password | * } /ADD [/DOMAIN] then says username 4 times under it with password delete times active next to them

Hold up! This is for real? I have been locked out of my Win 11 desktop for over 6 Months and never thought to look this up before now. I bought a laptop out of frustration and installed Kubuntu in the remaining storage on my desktop until I wipe the drive or find out this is possible. Going to try it out now. Thank you in advance!

system cannot find path specified. and when I change the c:\ to a X:\ not path found. I did d dir *.exe and there is no utilman listed. can you assist? when I type cd\c: the dir. it says system reserved.

It works until I got to that step where I have to restore utilman, when trying to delete, denying message appear...I did run cmd as administrator...any suggestions, much appreciated...thanks

You could write a couple of hidden batch files that took care of the renaming and reverse out. Of course ...that means the batch files need to already be there.
