A tutorial to a DAW doesn't get any better, than this. Nice. Easy. Quick. All the stuff you need is here. No unnecessary talking. 6 minutes of pure info. Hell this comment is longer, than that video, which explains everything.

Here is a list of all the shortcuts from the video that I structured a little. However, this is a list for Windows users. For Mac users, CTRL is ⌘ (CMD), ALT is ⌥ (OPTION) and SHIFT is ⇧. Maybe I'm wrong about the Mac because I don't use it, so check that just in case.

Arranging

Z - Zooms to highlighted
Y - Zooms out back
CTRL + E - Split
CTRL + J - Merge
CTRL + D - Duplicates clip
CTRL + SHIFT + D - Duplicates clip (but pushes everything after it to the side)
CTRL + I - Inserts time where highlighted
0 - Deactivates highlighted
CTRL + SHIFT + Delete - Deletes whole highlighted section
CTRL + R - Rename

Inserting/Activating

CTRL + T - New audio track
CTRL + SHIFT + T - New MIDI track
CTRL + ALT + U - Lane

Working With MIDI

CTRL + SHIFT + M - MIDI roll for highlighted
CTRL + 1 - Makes grid narrower
CTRL + 2 - Makes grid wider
SHIFT + UP or DOWN - Transpose

Layout

TAB - Session/Arrangement
CTRL + Mouse Scroll - Zooms vertically
ALT + Mouse Scroll - Zooms horizontally
H - Height
W - Width
CTRL + ALT - Glove for arrangement
CTRL + ALT + B - Browser
CTRL + ALT + L - Bottom
CTRL + ALT + I - Input source
CTRL + ALT + O - Overview bar
CTRL + ALT + R - Return tracks

Cmd+shift+D is actually a huge tip for me

Decap something that is a super useful ableton trick that not a lot of people know, if you click on a MIDI clip then ctrl click another midi clip, that other midi clip shows in the background with the MIDI notes greeted out and if you press B then you can edit MIDI overlapping the other clip.

Needed that for my Ableton lessons with my students, thank you :)

I've been manually transposing MIDI noted for like a decade instead of using SHIFT up, this is a godsend.

Been using ableton for years. There are definitely some gems in here

If you want to extend a note to the full length of a midi clip, instead of dragging it. You can go to the menu on the left and click the legato button

The fav feature of you mentioned is a dump score in FL as well. Good to know Ableton has that too. For I'm learning right now those things by switching to Ableton.

I like CTRL+SHIFT+D to duplicate the whole section. CTRL+I to insert time and CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE to delete the whole section
