Is AI Cold Calling Worth It?

I'd like to comment on the call to Natalie. This is Grady Andersen, Managing Partner at ncr, 10 years of direct sales under my belt and I would say that the AI handled Natalie really well. Generally, a request for an email is an objection on the proespect's side and as sales professionals, we're trained to ignore the email request a minimum of two times (depending on context). Natalie didn't show any signs of genuine interest; there weren't any trigger words telling me that an email would help. Maybe the AI could complied but after getting Natalie's email, again pushing for the appointment.

Regarding the long pauses, that was rough. But pausing isn't always bad, but when it sounds like anyone isn't there it's clear why they hung up.

I do the same thing but using a real voice and a soundboard + a virtual assistant. Not a lot of room for error when you can manually respond with real tone! I love what Air AI is doing and I think it can only get better from here 😎

I gave Air AI a shot as well and those massive pauses are no joke. Thankfully i didnt throw it at any real leads, just tested it with myself and it would either not say anything for 10-15 seconds or completely skip 1-2 paragraphs of my script, completely losing all context from my opener.

that was more amusing than i thought it would be! It almost works, but I'd be so annoyed if I picked up the phone & had that AI caller repeat the same pitch to me over and over for the tiniest rebutal

Sounds like the AI is severely under-trained. Seems it would be best to take a 40 to 60 hour work week to fully train the AI (the same amount of time that would be taken with a virtual assistant or a new employee). Consider this... the AI is going to bring in customers on autopilot; its worth taking the extra time to train the AI thoroughly.
