The Obsbot UVC to hdmi adapter is the OEM labeled version of the Tao 1Tiny from RGBLink that shipped a few months before the Obsbot labeled product. They are both very useful devices. One thing to mention is that they generally require an 18watt PD Usb power supply, not a regularly 10 watt usb power.

For long runs, utilizing HDMI to Ethernet adapters is recommended. These allow for 350 to 450 feet distance. As a permanent livestreaming setup (church, auditorium or conference hall), 300+ ft runs is really, really easy. Though I understand your intended topic is regarding mobile streaming.

I appreciate your video, though I was hoping for some empirical comparisons between wifi vs ethernet from the title.

One comment on your video setup… due to poor lighting, holding up the TAO and OBSBOT devices was pointless, they’re both just black boxes. Having them on a high contrast flat surface under nice bright light and cutting to them like you did with the clips of you plugging in the cat5 to usb-c adapters would have worked a mint!

On Saturday I'm going to be trying a full wired setup outside with the following

01 Mevo power over IP adapter ethernet

02 five port power ethernet injector hub

03 tp-link mobile hotspot Network setup

04 Android tablet running off of tp-link Wi-Fi

05 Android cell phone running hotspot to tp-link

Both four and five can be wired va USBC ethernet hub & direct to tp-link

Jason, thank you for all the content you create. My partner and I livestream funerals for a number funeral homes in our area. I have been trying to convince my partner we incorporate the mevo start into our Productions. Unfortunately because we bring our audio into our main camera from the venue's sound board, we have not found a solution for syncing that audio with the mevo. Do you have a solution?
