Your average home owner isn't going to have the skill or knowledge to use a tape measure and would more than likely cut themselves trying. This was a good tip for people like me wondering how to get a straight cut lengthwise without much hassle, thanks for the post.

That is pretty thick I wouldn't call that narrow thats exactly the same way to cut large pieces, narrow is 0.5" or 1", where you don't have enough drywall to push on to break evenly.

No pro drywaller I’ve ever seen carries a plastic speed square 😂 . We do rips with a tape measure.

Have you actually ever installed drywall this is all wrong 😂😂😂 use ya tape for a scribe cut and dont cut the back just pull/wiggle down the back to remove absolute amuture teaching shocking techniques
