How to cut thin strips of glass (in 4k)

How to cut a thin strip off a pane of glass using just a glass cutter.

I'm using a Yota glass cutter with an oil reservoir and ball-hammer at the non-cutting end.

A straight edge and a glass cutter are all that is required.

Sometimes the perfect advice lands right in your lap. I ordered a new aquarium top that was just about a ¼" too wide. I had a feeling that on a cut that thin, the old score & snap method would result in tears and profanity. This video really made the cut and made things a lot clearer for me.

Why did I watch this video AFTER I just did my first long, thin cutoff? My edge looks like someone chewed the strip off. The next one is going to look a lot better, thanks to this video.

Very informative video, thank you! For those of you who are nervous to attempt this for the first time, don't worry just go for it! Then, when your glass shatters like mine did, be happy to spend the extra coin paying a professional to do this for you.

Huge help, Tom! Many good videos for cutting large pieced but yours for thin trimming is exactly what will help me out. Saves having to return a standard 36 inch piece thats .5 inch too wide. Thanks again.
