How to Fix PS5 Database is Corrupted & Rebuild Database (Easy Tutorial)

Do you want to know how to FIX PS5 database is corrupted and to rebuild the database! If you are having problems on the PS5 with hard drive issues, turn off your PS5 completely, don't place it into safe mode. Then when it's turned off hold down the power button for about 5 to 10 seconds. Then plug your controller into your PS5 and you'll be able to operate the safemode menu! Now go to option number 5, clear cache and rebuild database. Then rebuild the database and your PS5 will restart!

I was having the exact same issues as everyone in the comments I kept doing exactly what he said and nothing. Just a constant loop of the same “your database is corrupted” message.

After hours of trying I tried other options and it’s fixed.

Go into the same “safe mode menu” like he did and instead of clicking there is an option that is now since gone when I went back to check to help but I think it was something like option 3 “repair corrupt download files” or something of that nature.

My PS5 is back up and running…… knock on wood.

On mine it's option 6 and when I click it it immediately restarts the console but it just shows the playstation logo for a second then black screen

So my specific problem is that, whenever I turn the console on. It prompts a message “rebuild database, or do it later”. When I tried to do this before the video, which still presented no solution. No hard feelings, I had a feeling my case was a bit unique. So I clicked the do it later, and when I came to. My console was acting funny. I was downloading Enlisted. I keep the console running for a couple days at a time, console, idle, just sitting on YouTube half the time. Well more than half the time. So I figured this was also a storage issue. I have yet to try that, and I don’t see a prompt for that either. I’m hoping this resolves itself, and if not I’m thinking this is some BlackWater bs. My tinfoil head is thinking I’ve been given a load of malware to get me to corrupt the PS5. Idk😅, but I have it up rn. So I’m just gonna chill and try to gather more advice. It also looped for me, I’ve tried it around 3 time so far. Which scares me, coz I had it prompt when I turned it on, after I tried it initially. So it may be storage. I deleted Enlisted and redownloaded it just to delete it again, incase any packets were lost in the dissolve. I’m paranoid what can I say 😅.


BIG EDIT: Your console may say it needs to repair the database when it may be the storage. When you have a spike in ping latency. It has a chance to corrupt the packets. Which was my issue, and I am so glad to have redownloaded the game and delete it before I repaired the storage. 😂😂 Phew.
