This video is all about the Zoom H1 recorder. It's a great way to get some good audio for your YouTube videos. So if you are stuck using your phone or using a camera that doesn't have a mic input, this is for you!!!

Full disclosure this was really my first time using this. So if I can use it, you can use it. It's very user friendly. I'm sure there is some settings and better ways to use it, so I definitely will try to get better at using it everyday.

So if you are trying to make your videos a little more professional, I would highly recommend using this. The other nice thing about the Zoom H1 is that you can hook up an external microphone to is and make it sound even better. It's super easy to get the audio files on your computer. You can hook up the usb cable to is and plug it in directly to your laptop. You can also just take out the micro SD card and pop it in your computer. Either route is super easy.

The more difficult part is syncing up the audio with your moving mouth. I use Filmora 9, so it's not terrible (but could be better). After a few times of messing up, I finally got it. I think it took me a little longer because my laptop sucks and takes forever sometimes to edit videos.

With this video I did some different tests to show off how the Zoom H1 sounds versus using my Sony A5100 mics. The tests consist of audio in my room, in my car, at a park, and walking outside. Each test was done with my camera audio, Zoom H1, and then using the Zoom H1 with a deadcat.

I think it definitely passed my tests for sure!!!
