Thanks for the video.  Lots of good tips for those of us who haven't taken the time to read the manual. ;)  I didn't even realize we could change the WAV quality setting from the default.  I don't think it will record 3 channels when you plug in an external mic though.  Unless there's a setting I'm missing, I think it just disables the on-board mics.

All of a sudden(?) my Zoom H1 seemed to not have enough 'space' on the SD card; was only getting 1 1/4 hour record time on the lowest kbps setting. Thought I was gonna have to buy a new card. Research online brought me to this page and all the comments about your video Michael Bednarsky. Voila! It worked. Followed the part of your tutorial about formatting the card...trash can etc. and I'm a happy recorder guy again! Thanks so much for your excellent advice.

Thanks for posting this one! My father uses this to record music live but have relied on auto recording. He have noticed that it cuts off certain dynamics. He indeed did wonder if the levels could be customized and it can be done like I thought it would be. It would have been silly otherwise since it can be done with Zoom H2 which I use as a audio card for my PC. Great device because it has mic which is ideal for voice chat or home recording. I used it often for acoustic guitars, flute, harmonica and such.
