When you want to line up camera audio and recorder audio, you can generate a beep from the device at the start of each recording. Then just line up the beeps. Easy!

This was the 1st recorder I have ever purchased. So far, I like it better than the XLR converter that Lumix makes. I was always intimidated by syncing audio files. but so many software interfaces make it no big deal. I now use my Lumix XLR adapter with a shotgun mic as scratch audio, or run a second pencil mic close to the action for a back up track.

Saw comments mentioning the preamp in this device is not that great compared to F3. Did you alos feel like that? As far as there is no hissing sound for my regular video flow, I am okay. I use Deity D3 Pro mic (line in/TRS) and Shure MV7.
