Hikers escape deadly LA fires

A group of hikers in California was caught off guard by smoke and flames from deadly wildfires on Tuesday while walking along a hillside to meditate. The video they took shows them running away from the fire.

By Wednesday afternoon, the wildfires in Los Angeles were still mostly out of control. At least five people have been reported dead, but on Thursday, officials said, ‘Frankly, we don’t know’ how many have died. Nearly 180,000 people have been ordered to evacuate.

The Palisades Fire — burning between Malibu and Santa Monica — is reportedly the worst wildfire ever to hit Los Angeles County.
