it’s interesting, because altho he didn’t actually fall in love with inosuke’s mother (being incapable of love until after death), he kept her around as he had some sort of respect or liking for her it seemed. He tried his best to feel the way humans did, but he never could, and that’s maybe the biggest tragedy of his life.

Doma had a lot of messed up things and storywriting but the truth was he never held animosity or hate towards anyone. He didn't have the stereotypical supervillain backstory or a reason why he did things.

With Inosuke's mother he even admitted he never planned to eat her and actually wanted her to grow old with him. This could be seen as Doma having a genuine connection with someone, enough that he was willing to spare her. Had she never found out about who he really was, Inosuke probably would have grown up with a different perspective for demons.

Last time did he told, that Doma is pure evil and torture his followers. I always told, that he's not pure evil. He's only misunderstood. Doma never had feelings for Kotoha. It's written in the databook and Gotouge self said, that he never had feelings for her. He only protected her. Doma is good demon, that wants to help humans and he's doing it in a wrong way.

Doma is very difficult to understand. And some people just overlooked everything and started to hate him..
First of all
People call him 💀 pure evil/true demon + demon for fun etc.. But he's just trying to help his followers (in his own ideological way)

Second
He was treated as a god Special and praised for nothing. Everyone just came to him with their problems and begged him in tears for help. He was just a child back then. It's hella depression situation if you put it irl

3rd
He wasn't really born emotionless but rather made emotionless in some sense.
He was probably kept away from the concept of emotions. Busy listening to some stupid ppl. Questioning humans, life and everything! And ended up with the conclusion of "death is the solution/eternal peace"

He's not psychopath. Or at least not the only psychopath. He's a demon killing everyone like every other demon

He has no sexual feelings or intentions. Not a simp or women creep. Just eats them cuz they're Better than men.
