There is something about keto and intermittent fasting that improved my health tremendously. I was diagnosed with lupus in 2006 but when I got diagnosed with lupus that's when I did my own research because I had a diagnosis. It seems I really had lupus all my life. But...God gave me a wonderful childhood because I was a normal continuously active child.(Not bad just lively) Long story short when I had a really bad episode/flare and finally got a diagnosis for lupus the meds that were prescribed to me helped... but I'd still suffered in my joints. It wasn't until this year I decided to try keto for only 2 weeks. I psyched myself out by saying "what's 2 weeks out of a lifetime". I lost 13 lb in 2 weeks. There was no more swelling in my ankles in the morning, my hands and fingers were not swollen. What I have found out for myself is that if I stay away from sugar, bread, alcohol, & pasta I feel like I'm on top of the world because I'm in no pain... and that was my testimony. 🦋

My sister didn't know she had lupus until it was too late; it came on so suddenly. It was triggered by loosing her husband of 25 years, our mother's death, moving to a hot climate and taking on a stressful job. She was 52 when she died and they were still diagnosing.
A few months later we lost a first cousin to lupus. My brother died of sarcoidosis, another autoimmune disease. I don't think it helped that our farm was 30 miles from the Barnwell nuclear plant.
I've had a fasting lifestyle since 1978. I think my healthy lifestyle was inspired by losing a brother, 12 years old, to leukemia in 1965 when I was 5. I wanted to grow up and be healthy and have healthy children. That's absolutely the case.
The aunts and cousins had meetings and we were urged to have testing done. I was sure I had no problems and test verified it. The two generations before ours were very healthy and there were many centurions. My mother and 5 aunts were beautiful, healthy and fit into their 70s, 80s and 90s.

vitamin D should be taken as vitamin D3. if ones blood labs for d3 doesn't increase that much, also take boron with the d3. it greatly improves the absorption of d3 in the body, and will reflect in the blood work showing increase in d3 levels. a few different physicians told me this a few years ago, and it did significantly help the d3 levels to increase. my lupus story, I got pills from my doctor, , didn't do a thing for me, binned them, I do intermittent fasting, as in one meal a day, , and sometimes do a 2 day fast, I eat meat/fish and veg, no white stuff as in no potatoes, rice, sugar, pasta, no cakes(flour) and lift small weights at home, am soooo much better, I would never tell doctor I fast as they wouldn't approve, I feel good with no swelling, Fasting gives your body time to heal itself, ,

Can you do more videos on lupus?
Doctor recommended I take high dose of steroids 4 days a month.
I don’t like the thought of steroid use and am afraid of weight gain and moodiness.

I have lupus and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and have had low vitamin D for many years despite taking the supplement (2000 IU/day) daily without fail. There’s most definitely a connected between low D and autoimmune issues.
