How Many of You Don’t like OneUI? - Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

A REMINDER:
1. I review based on the stock experience and what the majority of users would experience. I know the advanced things you can do. Try watching my advanced tips and tricks video that is an hour and fourty minutes long.
2. I know what Good Lock is. I know what a launcher is. See point 1.
3. This is a YouTube short. I only have 59 seconds to talk about something. Don’t expect a comprehensive video that covers multiple views and perspectives. I can’t in that amount of time.
4. I did cover multiple views in the linked long-form video that covers the best and worst. There are more positives than negatives. You can find it by looking at the bottom of the screen and look for the ▶️ and the linked video beneath my user name. YouTube doesn’t make it obvious enough, but you can see a more balanced overall take of what I believe.

One UI should allow you to change icon shape out of the box. Also, why is the gallery icon so hideous ? Samsung should do a full redesign of their icons. Squircles indicate Samsung couldn’t decide if a circle or square should be the shape, so they half committed on a squircle. I’d be fine with their icon shape imitating Apples.

I was using stock android and also a samsung phone and in my opinion One UI is way better than any stock android and I don't think it looks outdated but it can be improved

Use Theme Park module in Good Lock to customize your home screen.

You can literally solve ALL of these issues. I've used both OneUi and stock android from Google, OneUi is loaded with so many amazing features and you know it.
If you're going to bash it, at least present sth nice about it to the masses.

Meh, I use Nova for the home screen and App drawer, One UI's, having Goodlock and its more compact drop down menu than most phones keep me with samsung. Goodlock is so OP 👍

Dude, Samsung has a theme store that provides you with literally hundreds of icon packs 🤦‍♂️

I have been a Samsung user for quite some time. Lucky for Samsung LG and HTC are no longer a choice. The UI is much better these days than those touchwiz days. There are good and bad but overall i prefer it over any other android UI.

I actually like OneUI. I actually like it over standard Android. On my Xperia I had to install a launcher to make it look more interesting (also, you can't fill the lower part with icons, just the google search bar). Further, there is GoodLock that allows you to do a whole redesign and has some extra functions that I really miss on my current phone, mostly the option to send audio over bluetooth for one app while keeping the audio for another on the phone speakers. The other one is how you can design your own keyboard.

FOr the record, Samsung can't just change OneUI because they have a lot of customers that like it as it looks right now, so changes have to be made in an evolutionary way, not revolutionary.

I like pages in the drop down menu, because it still allows you to have that extra layer of organization even for apps you don't need to be on your homescreen. I only have two homescreen pages.

I also don't agree that OneUI looks outdated. I'm using an Xperia no after having used Samsungs for quite some years and I don't have the experience of having a better looking UI at all.

Only thing i hate about one UI is i can't lock apps i need to download applock from playstore. I know about secure folder but i don't wanna use that

I hate my s 24 ultra. When I voice text, it doesn't text what I say... And I don't have a lisp, and I don't have an accent, I speak very clearly. My phone will randomly dial whoever i'm texting..
And it will double text...
