Very nicely explained. I understand that one’s soul is eternal and may come back on this plane of existence in one of the physical forms. But if there is no “your soul and my soul “ since the soul in all of us is bits of the supreme soul, then the bit that comes back to exist on earth is no longer the return of the previous person as it enters a new body and starts a new life experience. And hence the previous person is lost forever and you miss such people especially if they were knowledgeable and self righteous . Yes I can hope that more people who come here are likewise like the one who is gone and convince myself to stop grieving. And no one is ever gone as we are all the same atman. But the human behavior and experience of a body that existed will be gone forever once that body dies.
