2013 MacBook Air 11' Review!

With all day battery life, Intel Haswell Core i5 and i7 CPUs and an all aluminum design the 2013 MacBook Air 11" looks like a great choice but how does it stack up?

Watching this on my base model 11 inch from 2013, still running like a charm.

It's versatile little machine, good for school, but as this is only the 1.3 ghz with 4 gigs of ram, it's fairly limited in its functionality regarding heavy tasks like editing or gaming. On the whole, a great little machine that can still be used in certain circumstances today.

I have a Macbook Air 11'. I wanted to buy the 13' one, but my budget didn't reached it. But, I realized now that the 11' works fine. They're literally almost the same with the 13'. There are just a few additional features like the SD card slot and retina display (I believe). Smaller screen works fine with me without retina display. I mainly use my laptop for school purposes. I don't need high resolution screen to edit videos 'cos I don't edit. I'm just after the iWork, watching videos, surfing on sites, and researching. 9 hours of battery life already works best for me. I got no problem with it. I've had less battery life as well on my PCs before, and I wholly survived it. Not a tad bit of problem with the battery life.

i'm watching this on an 11" macbook air rn and i absolutely love my laptop it's lasted me over a year now and i've never really had any significant problems with it, although i will understand if you're more of a microsoft person that's cool too we all have different likes and dislikes

Every one griped on the display of the Macbook Air and i don't see why.

Sure, the colours aren't 100% accurate but its not really noticable. The viewing angles are fine, at least on my 13" model, and for a laptop its sharp enough for me.

I think its because the Retina displays don't do anything for me. My brother bought 13" RMBP when it came out and i was whole heartedly underwhelmed with it. Sure, it was nicer than my then Macbook Pro, but it didn't blow me away. 

The only reason i'd buy a Retina MBA over a Non Retina model is if A)They kept the stellar battery life, B) Didn't price it more than £100 more or C)Made it a lot more powerful whilst keeping the weight and battery life. If none of those were met, I wouldn't bother.

I am running on 7 hours of batterly life right now with my brightness turned down two notches the whole day and I'm only at 32%. I just got this thing two days ago and it has been amazing.

I'm not Austin but IMO go for the 13" if you can afford it, the keyboard is much more comfortable and there is a noticeable amount of more screen real estate.
I'd also recommend waiting for the new ultrabooks such as ASUS ZBI, Acer S7 or Samsung ATIV Book 9 before considering your options but if you're sure you want to go with a Mac that's up to you.
