I so want one! I've long wanted an 11 inch but the 12 hour battery life of the 13 inch is so tempting!

Still using my October 2010 Air every day! It was the first to feature the wedge design and flash architecture. This would be a nice upgrade, but I'll wait for a model with a changed design.

Sometimes they let you sell back the old one if you bought it recently before a new release. Next time, I'd do my research though, and you'd find out that around this time of year, a new Macbook Air is usually released.

No worry. It's coming soon. I think they'll update the other MacBooks before school begins in August/September.

It's because the MBPro is less lucrative to Apple than the Air is. And since it's the more professional line, it'd be best if they have Haswell in the Air for a while, figure out any issues the Pro line may embark on, and then install it.

Im disappointed that they didn't upgrade the screen res. It's so bad currently. Im not saying to go retina because that is probably too much to ask for as of now. But maybe just a slight increase to compete with the other ultrabooks. I guess i'll wait another year to get the air.

The chips actual processing speed has more factors to it than just Ghz. Haswell is still at least 3x faster than any Ghz equivalent A15.

That's why phones use 1-2W for an A15 vs. 10-15W for Haswell.

becuase macbook pro came out before haswell was launched, so it will upgrade probibly when it's refresh time comes

That'll happen in the next special event. There will most likely be 2 of them, september and october.

i've come around to Jobs' way of thinking on this issue... the "hybrids" just don't work well... get a tablet or get a laptop, one or the other.

an iPad (or any tablet) with a keyboard is a great option - but i prefer a "real" OS as opposed to iOS or Android for my workhorse computer. However as both Apple and MS are showing us, the convergence of the two is certainly the future...i just don't think we're there yet.

ChromeBook is a heavy cheap brick that will probably break down in a few months

i agre with your point but chrome books and mac book airs are very different products . its stuiped to compare thing that are so different nd made to serve different purposes . :)

neither are ideal but if you must choose one then the retina screen model

it is a good laptop, but you might want to look at samsungs ultrabooks they look awesome about the same price touch screen, great speaker overall better. not substantially thought, but both are good
