His parents did the best by not choosing a sex assignment surgery when he was born or young…intersex people must have the rights to choose by themselves.

He said " i set the tone". That is very important. When i came out as gay, i set the tone as to how i would be treated. Any disrespect was stopped in its tracks. You need to teach people how to treat you

He’s absolutely right about adults asking him how he pees back when he was a kid. That is so inappropriate.

Dream of having just 1% of his confidence. Brilliant interview, smashing a lot of stereotypes as well

One of my best friends was born intersex. Her parents took the Doctor’s advice and chose a gender. Not only did they choose the wrong one (based on other appearances and her own belief), they unintentionally caused a lifetime of unnecessary suffering. I firmly believe parents should let their children be who they are. The children inevitably become adults, fully empowered to do what they feel is necessary for their own fulfillment.

Its so interesting how God made us in so many different ways yet we are so judgemental, homophobic, sexist, racist and put each other in boxes. Life would be so much better if we lived in harmony and were understanding of each other.

His confidence is something everyone should try to achieve.

I can see why everyone is obsessed with this person! Self awareness, self acceptance, open heart, all beautiful traits in a human! More people need to be this way, it'd be a much more happier peaceful place!

I love that he had the option to explore for himself and not be forced into anything.

If anyone ever thinks that intersex is so rare that we shouldn’t talk about it or treat it like its own category, remember there are around the same amount of intersex people as there are ginger haired people.

Intersex is a spectrum. Not every intersex is 50-50. Some are 40-60, etc.

Everyone needs to watch this. People can't help how they were born. Intersexual people should not be shunned

I am the opposite version of him i was raised as a boy that most people perceived as androgynous or feminine but id been corrected as a baby among lther things

Im working on getting my story out there i know there are people that may benefit from it

In my opinion doctors should not advise parents to choose a gender when their child is born intersex. Eventually the child will grow up and choose for themselves, like you did.
