They need to quit wasting time and get rid of this waste of a human being. He made horrific choices and has no sympathy for the irreversible damage he had caused. He's still showing he's a violent threat by continuing his rampage on a officer. He's got no shame and probably thinks he's got nothing to lose so he will do anything at this point.

Life in prison is much more cruel than the death penalty.

Ok, I get it now. If your crime is terrible enough you don't have to be exposed to violence, rape and abuse from other prisoners like petty criminals are, you'll get state-sponsored special treatment and protection. Way to go American justice system!

For decades, I have been strongly against the death penalty. This kid has made me reevaluate my position.

Who else is tired of these monsters being protected from other monsters in prison.

His idea of helping people isn't something society wants.

There should be a law against giving any mass shooter attention.
I feel like one of the reasons they do it is for attention.

Eye for an eye. He showed no feeling or compassion to the innocent people he mercilessly killed so why should he get any kind of leniency?

Imagine going through life with a 17 kill tally of innocent human beings...it’s absolutely staggering!

How damn long does a sentencing phase need to last?! The prick already confessed!

Accountability is key, I’m sure he has a ton of reasons and excuses. None of them excuse what he has done and what he can do again. Why does someone’s mental health issues get to keep him alive but the families who lost their loved ones mental health doesn’t matter. Why does he deserve to be heard with the added drama. I don’t care why he did it, I do care that he is accountable to each of those families for what he did.
Does not make sense to me.

That's bullshit, both my parents gave me up at a young age. I'm 35 now married with no children yet but hopefully someday we will have a baby. I was raised by my Grandfather who is a awesome man, I haven't gone off the deep end, and trust me it sucks growing up as a child wondering why both parents didn't want anything to do with me... I overcame everything that's ever been in my vision.

It’s insane that he actually thinks he’ll be free one day.

Not hugely for the death penalty but this is a person who shouldn’t ever have a chance to go free and if he’s alive there is always a chance.
