She can actually still homeschooling and work some afternoon and evening shifts to help at the onset. Her mother is living with her and should be able to assist with childcare. She actually has options.

Your husband is getting ripped off with his salary being incharge of 15 people making just over 50k at a finance company. Tellers at a bank make 50k.

Clearly yall arent working a budget. How could you not know quitting your job would make you house poor?

I love Dave, but I disagree with the assessment that this is all on the husband. He even pointed out that, they bought the house based upon "both" of their incomes. They had no problem living until she decided to quit her job during the pandemic and rely upon those stimulus checks. I'm sorry, this is cut and dry. They are house poor because the other income isn't there. This is not all about the husband's income, IMO!!!
