My block paving driveway was treated with dry kiln sand - but nothing else. Within a fortnight, weeds started taking root in the sand itself. I was very disappointed. Is it strictly necessary to use the dry kiln sand; or is there an alternative solution? Also, would I have to completely pressure-wash away the existing dry kiln sand (with the weed roots) before re-applying your product? Or what would you recommend please?

Can you tell me whether sealing the surface and hardening the sand affects the permeability of the driveway? Where I live is prone to flooding so it's important that water can soak away.

Hi - If I was to colour my driveway a grey colour, is there a grey sand that would be used? Not sure I fancy the idea of a yellow sand in the joints of grey blocks.

I stupidly bought polished white Indian sandstone for a 20sqm patio. The slabs are so porous, within hours of being laid they started to discolour. Now they look dreadful, old, and discoloured (some green and brown) after only being laid last year you would think they’re decades old - not the look I was going for at all after spending so much to get it done. I’m so disappointed and saddened. Anything would look better than they do now. Would this product work to stain the slabs to grey, thereby hiding some of their hideousness? I’ve looked into painting them but that would just leave me with a whole new set of problems - please help :(
