My method when in that position is to use backheel to nutmeg the opponent then outspeed him, kinda works considering i got it right twice in a game.

i tend to do a modified version of this when my back is to a defender, it’s more like reverse step over in a way. instead of touching the ball on the firdt touch i step over the ball to turn and touch with my other foot and go

This is good but you can also use a Ronaldo chop. Those work really well in this situation and it’s one of my personal favorites. Thanks for this tutorial though.
