the older models seem to almost have a slight hazy brown/ grey filter on it. the oled really pops

I was a huge doubter of the OLED model. The changes seemed so minimal. However, I realized I missed having a larger model versus my Switch Lite, and my son had essentially commandeered my original model. I caved and got the OLED... after having it for a week, I can tell you it's awesome. Better overall build than the og model. Greater screen size with minimal bezels. Screen color is brilliant, and black levels are fantastic. Battery life is the best I've experienced so far on any Switch model. I do look forward to a more powerful Switch in the future (1080p at 60fps in handheld would be 👏), but the OLED was a very good upgrade for me. A very pleasant surprise!

Two minutes in and I can already tell that with how much I play my Switch in hand-held mode, the OLED is absolutely worth the upgrade ♡ (especially with my Gen 1 battery)

Should’ve done it in a dark room. Reflections are stronger on the OG Switch and Lite due to the increased angle they’re on. Washes out the image. Not that hard to find a dark room.

as someone who has had his switch on hand since Smash came out just in case I need to crack it out with my friends out on the go, I absolutely love the larger size and vivid colors on the screen. it's subtle, but playing tabletop mode with other people is so much better on the oled
edit: oh and the kickstand is a huge QOL improvement. insane how bad the old switch kickstand is.

Honestly ... I think the Light looks the best. Since all the console are running the same resolution, the Lite's screen size gives it a much sharper image. It would have made more sense to give the lite the OLED upgrade but it is what it is I guess.

I used to play on my switch lite because image looked most of the time sharper and I dont like joycons.
I tried several games on the switch oled yesterday. Its definitely a step up compared to the original model.
For instance, Xenoblade chronicles was stunning and I wish i hadnt already finished it on my switch lite. It really exploded with colors and light effects and looked like a completely different game.
FF XII also had better texture rendering.

All games I played looked better on the new model, but for xenoblade chronicles precisely, it was a real game changer.
The ideal for me would be that they make a switch lite oled :)

I never had an OG Switch, just a Switch Lite. I was just able to pick up the OLED model recently, is it even worth keeping the Lite? I heard Nintendo has made it difficult to play the same game between multiple systems

Right off the bat u can see the beautiful color difference and at 3:30 u can see the “grass” in the cap kingdom a lot clearer on the oled than the original and lite version.

Fun fact, the switch OLED actually has a slightly dimmer screen, but appears brighter due to the increased contrast !
