I can’t explain enough how much of a difference it makes in person, in pictures and videos it’s like “oh it’s a little bigger”, when you’re playing a game like Breath or the Wild in handheld the difference is insane. It’s far more immersive and the OLED looks amazing.

listen I was the first person to emphasize how the OLED would be overrated but after getting my hands on one it’s definitely nicer looking than i expected, not an over the top improvement or something you have to have but it’s absolutely a nice upgrade and if you play in handheld often it’s a much much better experience.. just my thoughts after using it for about a week . (love all switches though my lite still some love) lol

I was worried the larger screen with the same pixel count would look blurrier, and it *does* look rather blurry for smaller details like text. But overall I've been pretty happy with the screen.

The bigger screen really helps with the game's framing. The original display is smaller and feels "cramped"

Original switch looks washed out, whereas the oled is more vivid, and makes the game look more vibrant/colourful.

Dang I wasn't expecting it to be so much better but after just watching the first minute it's clear that the extra $50 is well worth it. Plus the other small additions it totally makes sense to just get the OLED.

I feel this test would have been better done if you had did a race, saved it as a favourite once it was over, then go into the Kart TV, then selected the reply in that so you could get a consistent, reproducible race.
Then you wouldn't have to try to mimic the same races over and over again, and instead just replay the same in-game "recording" of the race that can reply the whole race exactly as it was done anyway.

Very nice video, clearly shows the difference in each Switch models screen. The OLED does look much better, but I will be sticking with the original.

Just got the Splatoon 3 OLED switch. It is stunning.

I'm upgrading from the Original OG model, not the red box, but the 1st launch switch.

I WAS solely a docked player. But had played Splat 3 in handheld on the OG and it ran and looked amazing, so it converted me into a handheld user. After a week I seen the Splat 3 OLED and fell in love, could not be happier.

You could have just played wireless with yourself using both systems and then replayed the track on each switch and select the same racer in the replay to get the exact same side by side.
