Just depends on what you’re looking for…

Also if you know how to set up basic emulators, the steam deck’s library will then include, everything, every game ever made

“I’d get the switch” he said as he smiled contently

And you can emulate almost every game on the Steam Deck 💀

With Sony and Microsoft putting most of their exclusives on PC, Steam Deck and Switch combo is one of the best ways to go if you want to play most of what comes out.

You could always build a PC, but for people like me who want simplicity and the portable form factor, I think Steam Deck works perfectly for all I could want..

Someone should tell him about emulating switch games on the steam deck

I think calling the steam decks library more mature is a bit odd. Sure, there are more mature games than on the switch, but there are also tons of kid friendly games on the steam deck (e.g. sonic, Minecraft, Lego games, etc) and there are also many mature games on the switch (e.g. the Witcher 3)

You can't beat Nintendo's first-party games.

Depends on what your planning to get, if you want to play games exclusive to the switch then get the switch, and if your looking for pretty much any pc game to play on the go then get the steam deck

Honestly, Steam Deck is the better choice (in my opinion) because with a jailbroken Steam Deck, you can use emulators, play Xbox games (using cloud gaming), and Switch games

Really depends on what you want to get out of it. Most may say the Steam deck because you can emulate switch games on it. So thus the switch is irrelevant. But you then gotta go through the process of setting that up. And performance on emulator may vary. So it really depends. If you have most of your games on switch and not very many on steam then the steam deck won't serve you as much either. I don't see them to be as comparable products as people make them out to be.

You can play emulated switch games on the deck though. And joy cons murder the switch for me on their own. Sooo

Steam Deck definitely, despite being a switch owner.

For me to even be able to use my switch, I have to get something like the Hori or Nyxi controllers.

I got both and added the split pad compact’s for the switch so it’s more comfortable for adult hands.

"The Steam Deck is more mature" I wouldn't say that I'd just say it's diverse. There's just as many E, E10, and T games as there are M

in my personal opinion, steam deck is the better option, steam sales exist, which save ridiculous amounts of money. and not only that, the games it can play have such a huge range.

and just so you know, if a game isn't verified on steam deck, they still let you launch the game. so you could customize your controls until it functions, or connect a keyboard and mouse and play it normally.

however, there's one Major drawback, some games such as cod: modern warfare have a specific anticheat that is broken on the steam deck operating system, luckily, i haven't seen this issue that much. but it could be a major killer for some people.

and for nintendo switch, they have unique controllers, and are the home for all of nintendo recent games, so in reality it depends on what you want to play.

i would mention the battery life, but this comment has gotten too long already.

I have a Switch but the Pimax Portal looks like a great concept

I’d get the steam deck I’m not into games like Mario.
