Hello, I was wondering what are all the equations for like optimization problems and relate rates you should remember for the ap exam?

but what about the RIP Current that was carrying the swimmer out at 2 meters/second? and why didn't the swimmer have on a Life Jacket, and why do I ask such stupid questions knowing full well they will be ignored? LOL... my apologies! You are the BEST instructor ONLINE, PERIOD! You possess too many attributes regarding your style of presentation to enumerate... We are so thankful for your being here. :) Peace always and Merry Christmas....

What's the angle between the beach run and the swim

Great example! I used to use a problem like this based on Baywatch. This explained why the show spent so much time showing them running on the beach in slow motion - it gave them time to do their calculus.
One minor quibble that doesn't affect the final answer: for the domain check, if Larry swam the entire way, his path would be sqrt(100 000). You still need to do pythagoras for the straight line connecting 300 South and 100 West.

Finally understood this kind of problem!
