A Bokken, is a wooden sword used for practicing, or close to a sword as one can get, but it’s still wooden. I assume he meant it as an insult, like he’s a “Bokken” Jedi, because he sees him as fake, an imitation, close to a Jedi but he’ll never be one.🤷🏻

A Bokken in samurai culture is a wooden practice sword. So it likely hints at an inferior weapon not sharpened and honed under the guidance of the true Jedi Order. I believe this could open up alot of cool story possibilities where other Jedi, like Tano, who didn't adhere to the Jedi way started their own sects of "Bokken Jedi" that perhaps survived Order 66.

Remember, Grogu and Kal Kestis are technically not Borken as they were trained in the Jedi order, they have just gotten much more training since then, it’s like saying Kanan Jarrus/Caleb Dume is a Borken Jedi

Bokkens are made out of shaped wood. While swords are manufactured using generations of sophisticated engineering.
Referring to a Jedi trained in the wild, compared to the regimented curriculum of the Temple, as Bokken makes total sense.

Ezra is much like Ahsoka and Luke. He begsn his jedi training under a master skilled master, but ultimately was left to find and follow his own path in the Force. What this also means is that during his self training, he was not chastised when his survival required his tapping into the darkside of the Force. (i suspect that is howbhe accumulated so many strormtrooper dogtags. He didn't have a lightsaber. So he learned hiw to channel Force Lightning.)

Well grogu wasn't trained after order 66. He was trained the same time as anikin. Like Luke said, he's not training him. He's just remembering his training

It is a Jedi trained in the wild after the Jedi Temple fell during the end of the clone wars.

So yes Luke would have been one and so was Ezra and grugo would be a half bokken Jedi because he started his training in the temple and then continued it after the temple fell.

In Japanese, Bokken (ぼっけん) = 木剑 = Wooden Sword. Interesting way to reference Jedis trained outside of the Order.

Bokken Jedi could be self-professed Jedi trained outside the Jedi Order proper like Asajj was well on her way to becoming before going dark, why Bokken? Because they would have to use training sticks like we saw Ezra & Sabine use instead of training sabers ala Attack of the Clones yoinglings until they went to Illum for the Kyber Gathering ritual.
