How to Copy and Paste Text from Image on iPhone

You can copy and paste text from a picture or image on your iPhone with an iOS 15 update called Live Text.

With live text, you simply have to open the camera app, point the camera at text, and press the live text option when it appears. Live text will copy the text and you can paste it as text on any texting or notes app.

It's a great way to share things with someone that has text instead of taking a photo of it.

UPDATE: To copy text from an image on iphone you have to push the blue text button in bottom corner to highlight text. Next, hold your finger down on the highlight text, then select all. Hold finger down again to copy text. You can copy from there. thanks 😇

I have the 14 Pro Max and this also doesn’t work. You have to first take a photo and even then, it will highlight the text but not copy it. It will only copy the whole image and paste it. Honestly, this is very typical of iPhones. They never ever work quite right. I was trying to help my daughter. She’d be better off if she’d just switch back to Android.😂
