Certain foods contain elevated amounts of chemical sprays than other, and these show up all over the grocery store. Make sure to check out the EWG 2023 dirty dozen and clean 15 list.

I planted 45 tomato plants last summer. Bought one of these fruit strainers for my Kitchen Aid and made my own marinara (known as Passata in Italy). I have so many jars of tomato passata it’s ridiculous. And since I didn’t use pesticides at all I dried out the skins, ground them to a powder and use it as tomato paste to thicken my passata. Gardening needs to become mainstream again

Always at the end of the day organic or not it’s important to get your fruits in, as someone that only has 80 dollars to spend a month on groceries after all my other bills come out I can’t spend 6-9 dollars on one pack of strawberries. So just worry about surviving right now, you can do it.

I feel like the USDA isn’t necessarily doing a great job of monitoring the organic producers. I read an article about a farming group in the midwest that figured out a way to fool the system using a complex network of organic and non-organic farms. Whole Foods had been buying these non-organic products as organic. If we’re paying more, which I’m ok with, there needs to be heavy-duty supervision. Either that, or change the laws. We allow way more nasty stuff than European countries.

You can soak most of your produce in vinegar water for 20 minutes to clean the pesticides from your fruits and vegetables. Of course there are a few exceptions! I love Bobby's videos and he's very helpful but at the moment many Middle income families are struggling with their expenses (grocery bills are a big one!) vinegar is relatively cheap and may help with healthier fruits and vegetables without the extra cost.

My husband had a massive heart attack last year. After I watched Bobby's videos, I changed some of the food that I though they were healthy. Bobby gave a great suggestion about the daily essential food such as like milk, eggs, cereal, and cooking oil which I see some change of my husband. I am from Asia, and I love Bobby's video because as time goes by, our bodies just feel different by cutting down sugar, white flour and white rice.

I want to know where companies are sourcing. I feel as consumers, we deserve to know exactly where our food is coming from and how our food is being treated. It's sad that we don't have any pure produce anymore. It's ALL contaminated. It's bad for people-like me, who are extremely allergic to fertilizers. I had to move away from farmlands and to the city to reduce my exposure to fertilizers. It's less in the concrete jungle-the city.

I saw a utube video that showed the different lunches of school children. Needless to say, I want to move to Italy. It was so beautiful, colorful, healthy, and delicious.

I love the frozen Organic green beans from Costco. I have not found them to be mushy. I usually instapot them for just 3 minutes then do a quick release.

Thank you for all your helpful info! I always try to remember your videos when grocery shopping. Can you do a video about fruits that no longer have seeds like grapes, watermelon, oranges.. it seems impossible to find one that are seeded even at health food stores

It's great to see you guys filming so freely! Thank you for helping to clear the air around Organic vs. Non-organic, it can be so confusing. I want to save money when I can but still eat safe! Thank you Bobby!

12 years ago around 2011, my coworker printed out an article on how in America in the early 1900’s & perhaps way before that, there were 100 or more types of lettuce available, or at least seeds you could buy The article explained how as time went on the types of lettuce simply declined as American families found fast food & convenience. I myself should eat better for starters as we all should. I should take up gardening.

Could you make a video about how you prepare/wash your items after buying them? I know a lot of people use vinegar or baking soda, I'd love to know your favorite methods.

I noticed you didn't mention mushrooms. I heard in the past to only buy organic mushrooms because they absorb a lot of what is sprayed on them. What is your comment on mushrooms?
