Imagine paying for 480p in 2021. We been through 720p HD, 1080p we’re at 4K now. And now back to 480p?

People sometimes ask me which plan is best. I help them using these quick questions.
1 How many people are in the house
If the answer is 1, then basic is probably best, unless you have a desire for hd content, which then standard plan should be fine.
If you live with a partner or friend and you both like watching Netflix, then standard plan would work for them.
If you live in a big family and don't mind spending a bit more money, then premium plan would work best. Hope this helps any people thinking.

I got the 8.99 plan and personally it's good enough. If you're watching to know if you should get HD or the cheaper plan just get the cheaper one. It's not like it's 144p or anything. It's great quality on a 50" tv from about 10 feet away.

Well, I get why some people think this was too basic, but when I went to the Netflix website it wanted my email address just to tell me what the difference between the plans was. Ha! I said, someone on YouTube will tell me without me having to give Netflix my email before I decide to buy their service! And, THANK YOU "How To Tech", you provided exactly what I wanted in a brief video without a bunch of fluff to pad it out to 10 minutes for the YouTube algorithm!

Why the fugh cant we get high quality with 1 device... we are forced to pay near $20 for 4k. Hulu and Disney Plus charge less than $9 and you get 4K. This shit is wild.

Today (13 July 2021) the Netflix Basic resolution is only offering 480p in Canada.

Basic at $8.99 should be 720 not 480, due to this I be canceling instead of down grade from $13.99
