This is actually one of the best exercises you can do. It doesn't matter what level you are! I have my beginners doing this exercise and I do this exercise!!

Here's your 7-Day Plan to get this puppy rollin!
Always start from at least 4 notes per bow on this exercise everyday. Jumping straight into 128 notes doesn't give your fingers or bow any time to warm up, correct intonation, or just be prepared in general.
Day 1: 1, 2, 4 notes per bow
Day 2: 1, 2, 4 & 8 notes per bow
Day 3: 4, 8, 16 & 32 notes per bow
Day 4: 4, 8, 16, & 32 notes per bow
Day 5: 4, 8, 16, 32, & 64 notes per bow
Day 6: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 96 notes per bow
Day 7: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 96, 128 notes per bow

I love these exercises! Only I can't get past 64 notes per bow. But it's still very useful!

Super duper exercise. Thanks for sharing!
Just a little question. When playing the E with the pinky, does your left hand wrist move a bit or is it stable?
I find myself doing a little kick in the wrist when using the pinky and I'm wondering if its ok or a no no.

Thanks. My bow is following my fingers speed... Difficult to slow it down...

I’m curious about what the point or purpose of playing 128 notes in one bow is?

I'm overwhelmed! I have been practicing opening lines to Sibelious violin concerto. I play by ear and am daunted by writing music. I'm not sure I'm ready for Schrediac. My finger agility is like a slug. I'm ashamed to say. It was wonderful to meet Louise. Originally my 110 year old Cremona copy which my grandfather sent up from Oakland California was named Violet. My great aunt Violet gave my dad's dad Violet which she had somehow acquired from Christian Ebbesen, my great grandfather. There was loaning of Violet to my other cousins as they entered grammar school. Then when I entered fourth grade my dads dad, my grandfather, sent up Violet in a crate from Oakland. When I lost my home in2012 I left Violet behind as she was too much to carry with my bad back. I am sure I broke my grandfather's heart up in heaven but that is what happened. I bought a c Hines student violin while at the mission but didn't play that instrument much as was very busy working at the mission. After I got out of the Mis S ion I bought.a blond violin which I call Violetta or Violet the second. That violin was made by a local lutier in my town or over on the Oregon coast. I have various names for my student violin, they change almost weekly. It's nice to have pet violins. Bye for now.😅

Just an observation(I’m nobody btw… soooi can show myself out…ha).
Did you ever talk to someone face to face who was staring at your forehead or your ear instead of your eyes? It’s a fun trick… try it on your husband. It’s not a big deal as your videos are really helpful(one of the best out there) but maybe look straight into the camera and not at your screen so it looks like you’re talking to the person watching instead of the person beside them. Anyway, thank you for posting, love your videos!
