Monotone vs. varied intonation

Good. vs. Good!

Does it matter? Well, sometimes! In your native language, using a flat or more monotone intonation might be completely fine. But in English, it’s more common to have a more varied intonation, like I show here in this example. When we don’t use this intonation, we might be coming across as rude or angry - even when we’re not!

The low intonation makes it sound condescending, rude, and sarcastic. Those are the feelings that incited, coming from an honest perspective.

If it had a higher intonation it would sound happy, peppy, and actual.

The use of the pitch drop sounds like speaking to a child, and in my region (Europe), is considered condescending. It sounds fake. Can be a thing between women because they have higher pitch, but for me, I will accept that I'm gonna sound rude to other north americans. Perhaps, the solution is to flourish sentences with some adjectives and hope they understand that I'm a foreigner.
