My dear Jack,

Most dyslexic people can learn to read, write and spell better through good teaching by a reading expert. An educational therapist can do this and help you to realize that the childhood shaming by teachers and guidance counselors is an ignorant reaction to a learning disability that is not related to intelligence. Many doctors, actors, writers(!), and business people are both dyslexic and successful. As an adult, you can still learn and change; your brain can learn new skills and you can embrace a better view of yourself, and come to see your early suffering differently. Dyslexia isn't you! Sincerely, susan

Hi Susan, you have a lovely and soothing voice. A very clear and ariculate manner of speech, too. Do you have webinars? Do you have any books written by you that have your voice? I would love to listen to your voice and ways of dealing with dyslexia. Sending you kind regards.

I really wish that you would talk more about the other simptoms of dyslexia besides just reading and bad spelling. as an adult I learned to compisate so the poor reading. the spelling, I just abandond spell check and let my poor spelling be what it is. but you should talk more about the memory aspect the problems with sequenses, directions the momory is probaly the worst of all but I did some hardcore research on exactly what dyslexia is I never k ew exactly how dyslexia effected my life. I had to teach my wide how to think like a dyslexic show her that sometimes if I say "I didn't say that, you said that" that I wasn't trying to be a smart ass. in my opinion reading and writing are the least dramatic symptims of dyslexia.

What does it mean when an adult has poor grammar and punctuation? I was writing an email to this lady everyday, but as soon as I told her I wanted to be a author and Screenwriter she told me to take note on my grammar and punctuation because being an author and Screenwriter I must fix my grammar. I cried all night after that because I had gotten bad energy from her miles away from me in another state. I could feel she was making fun of me behind my back.

Is it possible to have dyslexia yet be a very good reader and writer? I've just been diagnosed and yet I have always found reading and writing easy. It's areas such as math and coordination that I have issues so I'm confused.

I have never been diagnosed dyslexia. But I struggle at work in my thought process an word organization. Also if someone says server name which is mix of letters and numbers I struggle. I can read very well and I read daily. But I struggle within my thought process. It frustrated me. I really need some tools to overcome this. I am in IT and love doing this work. I am getting close to 60.
