I just love how you explain both verbally and on screen what elements are improving the photo, what you wish had gone better, etc., rather than just showing us your glorious photography. I really like being able to pause the recording and understand what has made or detracted from the image. And the silhouetted bridge with the plane and girl crossing - WOW!!

After we spoke on Sunday I spent a short while around London City Hall but then decided to take the (Covert Special) Lumix GX9 over Tower Bridge to enjoy the sunshine/tourists. . . . and brief shower!

Yes, just being out there and observing life is good for the soul. London is great at any time but I always enjoyed Sunday mornings. They have a different, calmer atmosphere that isn't captured so often. I miss it. I love the guy and your shadow photographing Tower Bridge. Today, I had to content myself with a stroll through an ancient olive grove and down to the beach by the calm, blue sea. I'll survive!

Cities, and London in particular, at sunrise is my absolute favourite time to shoot. A couple of years ago, fog started to lift off the river as the sun broke over the horizon and it was magic.

Pacing and blend of expertise and feeling is also excellent throughout - good work my man.

Been following and commenting on your work for a while. My favourite sets are still the London black and whites you took after the Queen passed. The colours in these are beautiful. I have an x100v and am just not bonding/loving it. I’ve had the xt1 xt3 then Sony a7iii and just wanted to simplify everything so sold it all for the v for a more family/day to day camera. I’d love to see an updated video on how you set up for the day and how often you change settings on a walk. I know settings don’t matter as such but would love to hear more about if your in continuous and what sort of single point or zone focus. I just want to fall in love with my v then I can buy a instax printer and enjoy the memories.

Another great video James, well put together, great images as always. Mornings are the the best part of the day, so many people miss it. And yes @5:55 it looks good. That poor person in front of Tower Bridge near the helmet was probably thinking “ when that weirdo with the camera goes away I’ll lean in for the kiss” 😂Cheers.

Another great video, James. I love the way you talk about your thought process, and give written comments on your shots. It makes it easy to gain nuggets of knowledge from you. Being a Londonder, I recognise most of those spots and have been to them, but don't recognise the place that emulated the Steve McCurry shot you love so much. Where is it, please?
