Pandemic COVID-19 is a reality. Our body needs to be strong with great immunity, our mind needs to be empowered for resilience and our spirit has to be uplifted. This session is designed for deeper understanding of the science of Yoga and Mindfulness to cope with stress, better decision making and enhance immunity.
Dr. Sat Bir Singh Khalsa, Ph.D. is Director of Yoga Research for the Yoga Alliance and Kundalini Research Institute, and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School. He has conducted scientific yoga research since 2001 on yoga for insomnia, stress, anxiety disorders, and workplace and school setting and is a practitioner/instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. He coordinates the annual Symposium on Yoga Research, is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Yoga Therapy, medical editor of the Harvard report Introduction to Yoga , and chief editor of the medical textbook The Principles and Practice of Yoga in Health Care.
She has been practicing mindfulness for over fifteen years and received professional certification to teach mindfulness from the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School and the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (the mindfulness-based emotional intelligence program that started at Google).
