05 27 20 COVID-19 Webinar: Pulmonary Manifestations

Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell will focus on the pulmonary complications of COVID19 including Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). He will discuss the potential mechanisms of pulmonary injury caused by COVID19. He will review how day-to-day evolutions in the understanding of this disease has led to changes in the approach to treating COVID19 patients, and how the unknowns of COVID19 continue to challenge us at the bedside while provoking intense debate away from it.

Dr. Keith Van Meter will discuss the potential role of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) in the treatment of Covid19 and how HBO affords a way to markedly increase dissolved oxygen in plasma and bridge a patient with needed oxygenation until recovery is possible.
