I watched a free YouTube video of an American girl studying in Germany sharing about her psoriasis protocol, followed her steps and it was all cleared after a month. it's been years since I am affected. Step 1, message warm organic hemp oil into your clean scalp. step 2, wrap oiled scalp in disposable shower cap overnight. Use towels as needed on your pillow (practise bed hygiene). Next morning, wash off with castor shampoo. May take a couple of washes to get all the oil off. step 3. After shampooing, towel dry and spray apple cider vinegar on scalp, at affected areas. This may smell so don't overdo it. but the smell goes away when hair is dry. Repeat steps 3 times (spread out) for a week, twice a week for two weeks and after that weekly or as needed. Also, sugar and flour attract a lot of problems. Try to control your diet 😮

I’ve got the steroid (enstillar) but I’ve had to give up with it as it’s so hard to wash out of my super dense, porous curly hair! I have to wash it 6 times with my medicated shampoo to get it off. We need some better options!

My husband is getting shots for his psoriasis. It makes me so happy to finally see him without the pain. I am so thankful that it is completely covered by insurance cause each one would be 3k without.

Oh god yes i used to have this intensely and no amount of treatment shampoo and lotion would healp and just burned a hole in my wallet, besides making my hair super dry and brittle. I gave up and started using very hydrating shampoo and using sesame oil (cosmetic grade) or grape oil and it took a while but def worked in my case. I think it was way more soothing than the treatment products and it worked better long term.

I get always in the same place a similar plaque but when i pick it theres blood and or serum underneath. Every dermatologist I saw said its something different. Can that be scalp psoriasis or it doesnt sound like it?

For very mild cases: use conditioner FIRST. Massage in very thoroughly. Shampoo hair. Rinse. If hair doesn't feel clean, shampoo a second time. Rinse well. Apply a moderate amount of conditioner to the tips of your hair. Apply only a minimal amount to scalp. Rinse well. Pat dry.

Doc people always say not to wash their hair daily. But in my experience is somebody with psoriasis and has to wear black scrubs. And has long curly hair. I've had scalp psoriasis for over 20 years now. I just wash my hair daily. I ensure my facial moisturizer goes into my hairline. I use a sulfate and paraben-free curly type hair shampoo and conditioner daily. I use amazon tgel 2x a week***. I use a hair mask once a week. My hair is currently bra strap lenght.

In my experience missing a day of washing my scalp makes my scalp flaky, My hairline and forehead more irritated.

Currently I don't have any red patches along my hairline. But if I miss the day of watching I do.

To me that's always kept my psoriasis at bay I have flake-free hair.

I was prescribed salicylic acid liquid. I first put this on, massage it gently with fingertips (no nails involved!!!), it lifts the plaque pretty well. If the situation is dire, I have an oilier solution with steroids that I put on the area that needs to be washed off in the morning with clarifying shampoo (regular and medicated shampoo doesn’t lift it), but I also have liquid steroids that are not oily in the least, that I can just use when needed and these help so well without making my scalp oily!!!

Thank you so much for this. I was told my family doctor to use a tar shampoo but that was it. It hasn’t helped at all with the flaking. Totally given up wearing black

What if you use the comb for the loose parts that have separated from the scalp? Is that ok?

Guys for anyone struggling please see a dermatologist. Personally I would not recommend sleeping with a head full of oil because it will clog the pores on your scalp making things worse. The only thing that works for me is Clobetasol shampoo and loprox shampoo (I have dermatitis it’s so bad around my hairline, behind my ears, down my neck and where I have my hair part)
I tried all the oils all the shampoos all the scalp massagers nothing helped. My scalp was so inflamed and felt like it was on fire when I washed my hair. Go see a professional doctor and get a diagnosis so you can get proper treatment

This derm suggested this....mineral oil, do you agree?

I wouldnt suggest oil. It made mine worse, also consult a dermatologist BEFORE applying anything with steroids, i have seen too many people do it and end up with both psoriasis AND a different dermatitis caused by your skin getting addicted to the steroids
Edit its called: Periorificial dermatitis
