Bringing more NHS services and patients over to the private sector, means more NHS funding goes into the private sector, so this spending has to be monitored and audited, so that the NHS is not propping up a lot of the private healthcare sector - because the UK private healthcare sector needs to be competitive with the rest of the world, and do it on it's own private economy to compete with other countries and their private healthcare economies, otherwise more competitive countries with stronger private healthcare economies and their globals could take over significant parts of the UK private healthcare sector.

The US global private healthcare providers have a major share of the global healthcare private sector, in terms of digitisation.

Also there is the NHS Counter Fraud Authority, that investigates private dental contractor fraud, and other private healthcare NHS contractors but maybe there needs to be a wider scope not just fraud but other areas of monitoring.
