I think both yourself and Andrew Price should share the title of "Blender Guru." Brilliant tutorial series, and thank you so very much for producing and posting and making Blender so easy to understand:) This is very much appreciated:)

If your brick texture is with bugged out pattern press ctrl + r and then move it where you need and bamm fixed.

If your brick texture is messed up and not nice and neat like Steve's, try making extra cuts with Ctrl R along the cone and adjusting their position. For some reason this fixes the texture.

I watched the entire series just to see how you created the cone texture. Very clever!

Thanks, man I've really wanting to try & learn Blender/give it a try. But since 2.8 release they seemed to have changed everything around. So all the beginner tutorial I've found/tried to follow used Blender 2.7 something. So it made it Super confusing and difficult to follow. So I've been waiting and hoping someone would make a beginner series for the 2.8 Blender. So Thank-You man this is really super helpful. I hope you keep it up :)

When it comes to the nodes, I have no idea what he's talking about 90% of the time and just followed along hoping some of his wisdom would rub off on me😅

At 8:51 if the nodes aren’t working, add your own nodes of mapping and texture coordinate. That’s what I did because it wasn’t working

Hey! So I did the last video as you said and saved my process. And today that I wanted to continue when I opened blender I saw all the colors I did where gone and it was just gray as it used to be. The colors setting is there but somehow it's not showing so I would be glad if you could help me find out what I'm doing wrong . btw thnx for your great videos!!

Guys, please help, my brick texture does not work the proper way and at 11:00 you can see how edges are going up well for me it only makes squares shallow. Also my whole texture is like bricks but the right way(not rotated 45 degrees)
