After some new reviews, it does look like Intel's 11700K does better with a new BIOS. With that said, the Zen 3 equivalent is still outperforming it. In the end, we know why Intel is releasing their 12th Gen CPUs this year as well...

my 10700k is ticking along at 5.1ghz at 1.31v...works great and never gets over 75 celcius...upgraded from a 7700k and will be happy another 3 generations

Reminds me of when intel said that benchmarks are not indicative of performance, welp gaming isn't either apparently.

From what I could find Intel is planning on selling the 11700k for $485 USD. If they do this then they are pricing it $35 more then the superior Ryzen 7 5800x. Hell, you can buy a 10900KF for $440 on newegg. I'm starting to think Intel fired all of its talent and hired based on diversity quotas.

This is going to make AMD more expensive.
We will see what 12th gen (Alder Lake) has to offer at the end of 2021.

I don't think Intel really cares about this generation. They're just biding their time until Alder Lake. I think most people have assumed for awhile that Rocket Lake wasn't going to be worth it, and Anandtech just proved it.
