What is Data Governance?

What is data governance? // To some people, it’s a bunch of rules that make it a headache to access everything they want. Speaking from an analytics perspective, I’ve felt that frustration many times! But there’s a much bigger picture to consider.

Data governance helps keep information secure and controls who has access and how they use it. From a personal perspective, I hope that the companies and organizations that have data about me have a good data governance structure. I’m also positive it’s not true for all of them.

This video looks at what data governance is and why it’s important.
