How to install and setup iSCSI step by step guide (Windows Server 2022)

Learn how to install Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) Services and configure to deploy virtual hard disk (VHDX) drives to remote servers. In this example, I go through the process of installing the required roles and features, creating iSCSI fixed disks and iSCSI dynamic disks, creating iSCSI targets, use the iSCSI Initiator to attach the remote disks to a server, and using Disk Management to turn the drives online, initialise them, and create volumes. I also cover the process of increasing the size of the VHDX drives after they have been deployed.

I’m running into an issue on a server where there are a bunch of different drives/partitions. I have never seen this before. I have a bunch of letter drives with no content and I’m unable to delete them either. They do NOT show up in disk management or anywhere else. Only see them in File Explorer. Any thoughts?

I got a error message when I specify iSCSI virtual disk name "The folder can't be created on the computer. Folder: D:\iSCSIVirtualDisks Computer: XXX The network name cannot be found." Do you have any idea? Thank you.

Hey man, Do you know how I can run iscsi over my second NIC instead of the first one in Windows server 2022?
